Having grown up in a tight-knit family in metro-Detroit, I was encouraged to chase my dreams and choose a career in any field I enjoyed. Because of this support, I chose to participate in a large variety of production related extracurricular activities in high school and college. These experiences helped reassure me of my career choice.

When not participating in these activities, I attended Interlochen Center for the Arts with a concentration in creative writing, and was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. I gradated from Michigan State University in 2012, where I earned my bachelors degree in Digital Media, Arts and Technology.

In 2012, I was a member of the CW50 Detroit Street Team. Along with three other team members, I worked to report, edit and produce multiple webcasts that highlighted all that Detroit has to offer.

Prior to working at CW50, I held two internships in major networks across the country. While interning with MTV/Viacom in New York City, I was able to hone my video/editing skills and express my creativity both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

During the summer of 2010, I was offered an internship at FOX2 News, Detroit, where I was able to gain first-hand experience in the newsroom. Here, I produced my own teasers and was involved in daily newscasts.

In early 2015, I decided to return to Michigan State University to earn my bachelors degree in journalsm. I expect to graduate in the summer of 2016.

When not working, I enjoy photography, playing softball and kickball, and taking in a good movie.
